when you are ready to begin your online business you may be thinking should i begin with a web site or a blog now of course you don’t have to decide on any of these in the beginning if you don’t wont to they can come later and if your marketing affiliate programs these are not essential.

I say this because there are many free content sites where you can give information about your services or products and use these as a base for your clients leads or customers.

However your goal is to brand you and your business so a blog or website you will definitely want to have it will be like your home where you can make alterations or changes.

The difference between the two is that a website tends to be more static once you have all your information products or services on your site the need to change will not be as frequent as a blog.

Where a blog is your way of branding you and giving continued valuable content to your target market and engage your audience. Most blogs centre on establishing a trust and friendship with your market of course you are still monetizing and offering solutions to your leads or clients but essentially it is about your target markets needs not yours.

Where a website might look a little bit like a shop or store for customers to purchase however the web site can be similar to a blog this will depend on how you want to use your website as marketing funnel or information or both. And of course the website depending on your business could just focus as a shopping cart. Many options.

But a blog will take less time and less cost in the beginning but for a blog to be successful it must engage and be updated regularly.

Now what type of blog well a blog still needs to have that professional appearance and ability to be attractive so a wordpress or squarespace blog is the two I would recommend.

They are both very inexpensive a self hosted wordpress blog will cost about $10 a month and a squarespace about $8.00 for basic and is a self hosted in other words no need for a separate hosting account.

Depending on your time a blog could literally be up and running in one day. When you have content out on the web your blog or website will be where all other content related will be directed too.

So how to get started you can choose to install your blog yourself using a hosting company and FTP client FTP is usually used to send files from computers to hosting web servers when creating a website.

Now this might sound confusing but it is quite simple however if like me you are thinking how do i do that then i would recommend learning how. And free tutorials on how to do this is on my business tools page.

When deciding on a business from home a further option is to consider the possibility of a joint venture or partnership.

This can prove to be a very profitable way of bringing a much bigger income more quickly. Allowing more time to concentrate on individual tasks that you feel more comfortable in doing.

Allocating certain tasks to team members means your are free to concentrate on areas that you are more specialised in and happy to do.

For Example you may want to do your web site or blog with content where your partner or partners might concentrate on videos, software, or other forms of  marketing the business.

Building a working relationship with one or more people will not only get things done quicker but quite often if your lacking a little motivation that happens from time to time will boost your batteries too.

When looking for partners search areas that complement your business or if you are in network marketing your up-line or sponsor may wish to join you or give you names that are also wanting to joint venture.

Where to find them well social media is a fantastic place to start like face-book, my-space, better networking and so on, you can start building relationships with like minded people join and search for groups that hold your interest. Once you find a group of people that are on the same path your are interested in. Make that contact start interacting and eventually make some suggestions on how you can help. Or alternatively you can write about your venture and Wait for some feedback to build a relationship.

Searching google for forums or sites that are already in business with products or services that you would like to be involved in is another avenue you can pursue and make contact that way. So there are many ways where you can start to build relationships with.

Once you have found people you will need to be sure that they can offer the right assistance will do the work and you feel comfortable working with. Commitment is key you all need to be sure of what you are going to do how you are going to do it and keep in constant contact at least once a week. Planning, support and tasks need to be set for each individual working on the business.

The beauty with an Internet business is that they do not need to be next door or even in the same country as tools and software available today make it easy to keep in touch and talk. Over a period of time you may wish to meet up in person but if you are happy initially with corresponding through Internet software then building a relationship can be done globally.

Writing a Resume

If it’s worth going after then it’s worth the effort to make an impression to get that job you have been longing for.

How this sample resume will put you in front seat of your competition and get not only through the door but ready to start your new job.

You might be thinking what has this got to do with Internet marketing well a lot actually because if you are thinking of joining a team or joint venturing then showing them a professional resume or CV shows your commitment and intent that you bring to the team or partner.

The following eight items of information should be in your Resume/CV

Eight things you need to do for an Effective Resume

1. Education. Briefly enter your education and the reasons you chose the particular subjects.
2. Experience. Write down your experiences that i specifically related to the job you seek or how your experiences can help with this position
3. References. Most businesses require you to submit references so should include Former Employees, Teachers that you studied under if applicable, professional persons that can give you character references.
4. Photographs. Attach a professional photograph must be recent not more than 6 months.
5. Specific position. Never apply for just any position always apply for a specific position
6. Qualifications. For that particular job and give reasons why you feel that the qualifications you have is suited to the position your applying for.
7. Probation. This is not something that everyone would want to do but it might insure you get that trial to prove you are that person for the job.You may not get paid for a month but well worth it if it gets you that job for the long term
8. Knowledge of their Business. Research the company or business that you are applying too and find out as much as you can then show this in your resume. This will impress them and tell them you have real imagination and interest in the company.

Don’t worry about making you resume to long as you are showing them your interest in wanting that position.

Make very effort to make it as neat as you can when you have finished neatly bind and put into a nice looking folder.

And one really important application is sell yourself as the man or women for the job. Really strike home that you are that person they need. Be bold in your statement. Companies and or agencies like to see that you have confidence to do the job.

Your first plan of action for your home based business is get into the right mind set before your start. This article may seem to centre around the Philosophy of concepts, but it has a great bearing on your success to achieve your dreams desires and wants for your future.

The importance of really believing in your subconscious mind the desire to achieve and the faith that you will need  is so relevant, not just in business but in all that you want from your life.

I recommend a book that shows you and delivers to you the 13 steps to achieving your desires and goals, a book that is probably the greatest business book of all time (Thing and grow rich by Nepoleon Hill a must read.

Once your mind is set to truly believe your success. You will want to have a plan of how you are going to accomplish this

Your plan must be based on your desire to achieve your goals it must have purpose, conviction and persistence to keep going even when times seem hard and difficult, because a quitter never wins and winner never quits remember this always and you will win.

Your plan should be based on your research your interest and the chosen market for your business.

You will need to have sufficient knowledge of your product or service in order to give your market enough valuable information to arouse their interest in what you have to offer.

You will need to have an outline of how you are going to market your product or service. Marketing will always have a cost although it may be small depending on how you market, you will still need to have a budget that you can realistically afford.

You will need to have an amount of time that you can dedicate to your business that you can keep too.

A diary of what you have done and achieved I would suggest an on and offline diary for your notes

A list of what you need so that you can take action immediately never wait till you feel the time is right get started straight away. Always keep with you a pen and  pad to write down any inspirations that come into your mind. They will be lost if you try to remember them later.

If you feel you need training in certain aspects of your marketing then don’t ignore it  make sure you get that training it will not only save you a lot of money but lots of time too.

Decide whether you want to work as a team or on your own there are great benefits with working in a team and my next article on joint ventures will cover this very subject.

It is important to be as organised as possible so that you get the tasks for the day done and don’t deviate, as with the computer it so easy to do. You only really need to check your emails once a day unless you are waiting for something that is in need of urgent attention.

If you hit a roadblock or plans that you made are not happening don’t give up.

Before Thomas Edison dreamed of a lamb that would be powered by electricity he failed on countless number of times but he kept going until his dream was met and become one of the greatest inventors of all time. The Write Brothers dreamed of a machine that would fly through the air.  Do you think it happened for them straight away no.

Everyone that has had a dream has had failures but they never quit they had desire, faith,  persistence and  belief they would accomplish there dream and won.

Before we get into the meat of this article lets just define what is a niche market or markets

A Market that satisfies the needs or desires of a certain group of people looking for that product or service.

Niche Markets can be a large or small

Examples Of large Niche markets

• Insurance
• Health Industry
• Travel
• Weight Loss

Examples of small niches These can be sub categories of the larger ones or:

• calendar’s
• candles
• ice-cream
• cigars

These are just examples that came into my head there are of course many areas where niche markets can be found.

When searching for a niche market start by thinking about what you are interested in first it could be a hobby or something that is work related or something you have a lot knowledge about. Or a niche that you think you will be keen on. If you are keen or interested chances are you will be more motivated than if you just pick a niche that you think will be good to promote.

Sometimes it is a good idea to brainstorm a list of possible areas that would be of interest to you and than narrow them down in order of preference and than by popularity. Also research a database that will give you a list of niche market areas to explore you will find these in my resources at the bottom of the page.

So we have a list and now we want to know if this would be a good niche to consider.

We do this by doing research finding how many groups of people that are searching for what you are offering and look at who would be interested in your niche.

Lets take an example Bee keeping  so here we would look at the word Bee keeping as our main keyword  we can enter this into google keyword tool or word tracker tool,  you can then determine how many searches there are for this keyword it maybe that it will not be enough volume to even consider carrying on.

If you feel there is enough people searching then you will want to look at the competition what are they doing how are they promoting and monetizing related products.  This will give you ideas on how you will promote your business. How much competition there is, don’t be put off  if there seems a lot because this means that the niche is profitable otherwise they would not be in it.

But you don’t want to have to much either, otherwise it is going to be difficult for you to get a piece of the pie unless you can differentiate yourself from the rest and stand out with a unique angle to promote it.

When promoting your niche think about all the related topics that you can discuss and give information on as well, this will help people find you when start to market your business.

Before we move on you will need to think about whether you want to promote the niche as your own business or whether you want to join a network marketing company that promotes a niche that you are interested in.  As there may be many niche markets where you will find it hard to find a company that is promoting that market.

A good tool for searching Niche Markets google insights here is the link  http://www.google.com/insights/search just ad the niche and it will give you the searches for this market it will also give you the regional search plus related keywords. • Finding “hidden” questions and desires
• Product ideas and creation
• Look for sort or search functions
• Look for search volumes
• Popular questions
• Primary issues
• Watch for felt needs
• Watch for buyer cultures
• Watch for a customer avatar to develop out of the buyer culture
• Watch for trends

Once you have researched your chosen niche and happy that this will be profitable you then need to start to market your new business either through a network marketing company or solo i will cover your marketing strategies in a another article.
